Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an EV Technician, located in Cairo, Egypt.
The EV Technician will be responsible for the installation, inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicles and their systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety.
The role involves working closely with the technical and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, and software-related issues in EVs. Responsibilities include performing routine and advanced inspections, adhering to high-voltage safety procedures, and maintaining accurate technical documentation for all work performed.
The technician will also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying technical issues, proposing solutions, and supporting process optimization within the workshop.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicle systems, including high-voltage components, battery systems, power electronics, and auxiliary systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and software-related faults using advanced diagnostic tools
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and pre/post-service checks
• Follow high-voltage (HV) safety procedures, standards, and protocols at all times
• Read, understand, and apply technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins
• Document all maintenance, diagnostics, and repair activities accurately
• Collaborate with team members to resolve technical challenges and improve service quality
• Support software updates, system calibrations, and configuration where applicable

Qualifications
• Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of electric or hybrid vehicles
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills, especially in EV systems
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, electronics, and high-voltage components
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic procedures
• Knowledge of EV safety standards and high-voltage safety protocols
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a technical team
• High attention to detail and commitment to accurate technical documentation
• Relevant technical certification or degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is a plus
• Prior experience in an EV-focused workshop or dealership is highly preferred
