Job Summary
Al Marwan Developments is looking for a skilled and reliable Technician – Heavy Machinery to support the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy equipment across various project sites. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with construction machinery, and the flexibility to work across different locations as required.
Key Responsibilities
The key duties and responsibilities of the Technician – Heavy Machinery include, but are not limited to:
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and repair of heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, cranes, and trucks
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and carry out effective troubleshooting
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Repair or replace defective parts and components in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and job reports
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Coordinate with workshop and site teams for equipment availability and repair schedules
- Attend breakdowns on-site and provide quick and efficient solutions
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Assist in minimizing equipment downtime and improving operational efficiency
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required to support smooth operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in maintenance of heavy machinery or construction equipment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently
- Familiarity with workshop tools, equipment, and maintenance procedures
- Basic understanding of safety standards and practices
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Physically fit and able to work in workshop and site conditions
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently
- UAE driving license is an advantage
