Technician, Mechanical

Job Purpose

To carry out scheduled preventive maintenance program and any assigned Mechanical breakdownu00A0maintenance on both static and mobile mechanical systems including pneumatic and hydraulic systems,u00A0equipment and installations at all Aviation Fuel Depots as per Aviation/JIG standards and manufacturersu00A0recommendations.

Job Specific Accountabilities

u2022 Carries out routine preventive maintenance of static and mobile equipment including Aviation Fuelingu00A0systems, Pumps, Compressors, Generators, Meter Calibrations at airport depots, all mechanicalu00A0instruments, piping, mechanical valves, as assigned per monthly schedules and according to companyu00A0procedures, and records in accordance with laid down procedures.
u2022 Carries out all mechanical modification work as directed by his supervisors, and as per standards ofu00A0work and safety without direct supervision.
u2022 Carries out routine maintenance and repairing of automobile units.
u2022 Tests mechanical systems, equipment and installations after repair for satisfactory operations.
u2022 Traces out and rectifies faults by following the mechanical diagrams and equipment drawings/manuals.
u2022 Ensures all safety precautions are taken before and during execution of mechanical works. Maintainsu00A0all safety equipment.
u2022 Visits all airports depots and carries out periodic checks on all mobile and static systems, equipmentu00A0and installations. Reports and attends faults, carries out any necessary repair and maintenance works,u00A0and records accordingly on standards forms.
u2022 Prepares store requisitions as per catalogues, part list, etc.
u2022 Maintaining maintenance documents/checklists for scheduled tasks as per company requirements
u2022 Attends all assigned breakdowns promptly, carries out necessary repair works and ensures thatu00A0equipment is returned to service as soon as possible.
u2022 Ensures the safety instructions are rigidly adhered to during all stages of the work in a hazardous areau00A0(safety checks).
u2022 Works in 24X7 Shift Cycle as required.

u2022 Carries out all mechanical modification work as directed by his supervisors and as per safetyu00A0procedures.
u2022 Prepares reports of work done and problems observed during his visits to other remote area aviationu00A0depots.
u2022 Operates and updates records in computer-based maintenance program system for Aviation equipmentu00A0and facilities as per instructions. Ensures all maintenance is recorded as per company procedures.
u2022 Operates Inventory management System and computer-based maintenance program, up to his limitsu00A0of authority in the computer system.
u2022 Ensures that all jobs to be carried out under approved PTW and should comply with companies HSE rules.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

u2022 Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevantu00A0field.

u2022 4 years of experience in similar role.
