Roles and Responsibilities:
- To carry out planned Plant Electrical/mechanical maintenance and diagnostic works and repairs ensuring maximum operational availability of equipment to all scheduled plant and equipment in a safe manner in compliance with the safety regulations and procedures as defined by DP World.
- To diagnose faults on equipment and ascertain cause of defects, repair methods and spare part requirements for efficient and permanent repairs.
- To identify and select the correct spare parts either by visual recognition or from technical equipment manuals thereby constantly monitoring and improving all repair methods.
- To carry out maintenance work, fault diagnosis and repair works, on plant electrical/mechanical related works and their parts following DPW systems and process in an efficient manner with minimum supervision.
- To communicate with the Supervisor(s) and keep them informed of the progress of work.
- Visit sites of work locations and equipment as and when assigned tasks related out of beyond the regular workshops.
- Gain knowledge base to be able to work across sections and job functions, through understanding of Plant equipment, along with electrical and mechanical works.
- To undertake work in a safe manner and ensure team of electricians daily activities are in compliance with safety regulations and procedures as defined by DP World.
Required Skills:
- Precision measurement
- Read Hydraulic drawings.
- Read electrical/mechanical drawings
- Plant Electrical/Mechanical works maintenance
- Knowledge of automobile engines and repairing works.
- Should be able to work at height (No fear of height)
- Good English skills
Experience and Qualification:
- 3+ years experience in working on equipment in heavy industries like Port, Mines, Steel and Manufacturing, Plant Electrical Maintenance/Repair Workshop.
- Diploma/ Bachelor's Electrical Engineering
