Job Description
This role will manage the preventive maintenance and repair services of Temperature Control units on commercial vehicles.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of reefer units to ensure proper functioning.
- Diagnose and repair issues related to refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on reefer equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in reefer maintenance.
- Ensures that all health and safety policy and internal procedures are followed.
- Maintains records of active operational hours for all units
- Provides mentoring and coaching as required to new drivers and junior technicians
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical and regulation publications.
Skills
- High school Degree
- Ability to work outdoors in a very demanding environment
- Minimum 5-years experience in RFR units maintenance
- Good English communication skills; Bilingual is a preference (e.g. English and Hindi / Arabic)
- Physically fit
