The role:
We are seeking a Technology Director to lead the India-based engineering organization supporting lululemon's Supply Chain and Corporate Systems teams. Reporting to the VP of the India Tech Hub — with a dotted line to the North America VP's — this leader is the people leader for approximately nine Technology Managers and a broader organization of 100+ engineers and technologists across these domains.
This is a leadership role in three dimensions. First, you are the senior people leader for these teams: developing managers, growing technical leaders, and building high-performing, engaged, diverse teams. Second, you are a leader within the India Tech Hub, helping to set the technical direction of the hub and to shape and champion lululemon's culture in our India office. Third, you are a global delivery partner, working hand in hand with the North America technology directors to ensure the smooth, high-quality delivery of key features and capabilities out of the ITH.
You will oversee platforms, integrations, partner connectivity, data systems, and engineering practices across a globally distributed model. This role requires a seasoned leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environments spanning multiple time zones.
Supply Chain Technology:
- Raw material innovation and development
- Costing and sourcing
- Quality, sustainability, and traceability
- Trade compliance and cross-border movement
- Logistics and global transportation
- Distribution and fulfillment
- Supply chain analytics, data, and reporting
Corporate Systems Technology:
- People & Culture (P&C) platforms — Workday and Dayforce
- ERP and Finance — Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
- Legal systems and related compliance workflows
- Integration frameworks (EDI, APIs, event-driven architecture) across these domains
- Master data, data quality, and operational dashboards
Key responsibilities:
People Leadership & Team Development:
- Serve as the people leader for approximately nine Technology Managers and a 100+ person organization spanning supply chain and corporate systems.
- Develop managers and future-ready technical leaders through coaching, feedback, and clear career growth pathways.
- Build high-performing, diverse teams with a culture of inclusion, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive strong engagement, retention, and talent attraction across the organization.
India Tech Hub Leadership & Culture:
- Act as a senior leader within the India Tech Hub, contributing to the technical direction, operating model, and growth of the hub.
- Champion and help formulate lululemon's culture in the India office, living the company's values and creating an environment where people can do their best work.
- Represent the ITH's capabilities and strengths to global stakeholders and elevate the hub's profile as a center of engineering excellence.
- Partner with peer directors and hub leadership on shared practices, standards, and community-building across teams.
Global Delivery & North America Partnership:
- Work closely with the North America technology directors to ensure smooth, predictable, and high-quality delivery of key features and capabilities from the ITH.
- Align roadmaps, priorities, and dependencies across time zones so that ITH teams operate as a seamless extension of the global technology organization.
- Establish clear delivery expectations, communication rhythms, and escalation paths that build trust between India and North America teams.
- Ensure ITH ownership and accountability grows over time, moving from execution toward end-to-end ownership of platforms and outcomes.
Platform & Architecture Modernization:
- Modernize supply chain and corporate systems platforms and integrate next-generation capabilities across Oracle RMS/EBS, Workday, Dayforce, and supply chain systems.
- Drive transformation toward API-first, event-driven, and scalable integration architectures.
- Lead the design and implementation of secure, resilient, and responsible data management and governance frameworks.
Operational & Engineering Excellence:
- Oversee delivery across supply chain and corporate systems ensuring strong operational and engineering excellence in all solutions.
- Raise engineering standards around quality, observability, security, and system reliability.
- Drive root cause analysis, systems reliability, service maturity, and measurable operational improvements.
Innovation & AI Enablement:
- Introduce AI-driven decision support and automation across supply chain and corporate systems workflows.
- Champion the ethical, transparent, and responsible use of AI across all supported domains.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or commensurate relevant experience.
- 10+ years of engineering leadership experience with large, complex, global teams, including experience as a leader of managers.
- Proven experience building, scaling, and leading engineering organizations within a technology hub, global capability center, or similar model.
- Experience leading supply chain technology and/or enterprise corporate systems (Oracle RMS, Oracle EBS, Workday, Dayforce, or equivalent).
- Strong background in integration architectures (API platforms, EDI, message streaming, event-driven design).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java and with modern engineering patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-impact technology programs.
- Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones, particularly in partnership with North America.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive influencing skills.
- A continuous learning mindset that stays on the leading edge of technology solutions that bring value to the organization.
- Experience with AI/ML use cases in supply chain or enterprise systems is an asset.
