Temporary - Credit Control Manager Emerging Markets Central (6 Months)
Job Description
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Credit Control is a key role in the organization, we ensure the implementation and maintenance of the internal controls and safeguarding the business process in a risk-free environment in terms of receivables management, cash collection and trade investment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor receivables balances on daily basis to ensure timely collection and work towards meeting the monthly cash flow target.
- Customer creation validation before it is created in SAP.
- Review and posting of the financial credit notes.
- Set and review credit limits periodically and evaluate new credit requests.
- Prepare regular reports such as Aging, Collection, DSO and participate in month end closing period by preparing bad debt accrual and other necessary provisions.
- Act as a business partner to Sales Team and provide information on a timely manner by highlighting the opportunities and risks that will impact the net sales.
- Support sell out support budget preparation and provide up to date information to Marketing Team to help with accurate forecasting.
- Supervise junior team members on timely deposits of post-dated cheques, negotiating Letter of Credits and maintaining up to date Bank Guarantees.
- Follow up on Letter of Credit discrepancies and in collaboration with Customer Service Team.
- Monitor and control the release of shipments to ensure minimum risk for the company.
- Ensure customer account reconciliations are carried out on regular basis.
- Have an excellent service mentality to all internal stakeholders.
- Support and guide Accounting Team with receivables related bookings.
- Give full support to the external auditors for all AR related questions.
- Review and follow of the credit terms/credit facilities
- Booking and clearing of the incoming payments with the invoices in SAP
- Align with the sales team on the disputed payments
- Reconciliation of the AR balances with the customers
- Close interaction with the Commercial Operations Team to enable business continuity
- Preparation of the statement of account for the customers
- Answer ad-hoc customer requirements
- Adheres to internal and external deadlines
- Handle any other transactional / routine tasks related to Receivables and Credit Control

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in business with corporate finance, audit, or accounting focus.
- Functional: > Junior / Fresh graduate / 1-2 years experience.
- Industry: ideally apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG.
IT Skills:
- Outlook: Good
- Word:Good
- Excel: Advanced
- SAP: Advanced (especially FICO module)
Language Skills:
- Arabic (For Egypt only): Excellent writing and speaking skills is a must
