As a Tender and QS Engineer specializing in fit-out projects, you will play a crucial role in managing bids and contracts for construction projects. You will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure that all cost-related aspects are addressed and optimized to enhance project profitability while maintaining quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare and submit competitive tenders for fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Conduct detailed analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other related documents to assess costs and resources required.
- Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates and budgets throughout the tendering process.
- Coordinate with design teams to identify value-engineering opportunities that can reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Monitor project costs and budgets during construction, providing regular reports to project managers and stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing interim and final account submissions, including variations and claims as needed.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and validate quantities for progress billing and project forecasting.
REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Tender Engineer, preferably within the fit-out sector.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, tendering methods, and contract management.
- Proficient in cost estimating software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of relevant construction regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy in cost management.
