Tendering and Cost Estimations Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project budgets and cost plans across all stages, from concept design through detailed design and execution.
• Review, validate, and challenge cost estimates submitted by consultants and contractors to ensure accuracy and alignment with project scope.
• Prepare independent cost estimates, benchmarking analyses, and feasibility studies to support decision-making.
• Lead and manage the full tendering process, including contractor prequalification, bid evaluation, and award recommendations.
• Analyze and compare contractor bids to ensure competitiveness, transparency, and value for money.
• Identify and drive value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality, design intent, or functionality.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, including material costs, labor rates, and construction indices, to maintain accurate cost benchmarks.
• Review and assess variation orders, claims, and change requests from a commercial and cost control perspective.
• Support contract negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms and mitigate financial risks.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Project Management, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and budgets.
• Track and control project costs to ensure delivery within approved budgets and highlight potential deviations proactively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, or Construction Management).
• 1015 years of relevant experience in cost estimation, tendering, and commercial management within real estate or construction companies.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale development projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use).
• Strong expertise in BOQ preparation, cost planning, and tendering processes.
