About the job:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Tennis Coach to join us. The ideal candidate will be passionate about player development, experienced in coaching youth and adults, and able to deliver fun, safe, and progressive sessions. As a Tennis Coach, you will lead group programs, provide private lessons, and support players at all levels from beginners to competitive athletes.
Job Accountabilities:
- Lead and instruct group tennis sessions and private coaching lessons.
- Develop training plans tailored to players age, skill level, and goals.
- Teach proper technique, footwork, match strategy, and on-court discipline.
- Support youth development programs with age-appropriate progressions.
- Prepare competitive players with tactical training, match analysis, and performance tracking.
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and safe coaching environment.
- Organize and assist with leagues, clinics, tournaments, and seasonal camps.
- Stay updated on modern coaching methods and continuously improve your skills.
Required Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of stroke mechanics, footwork, and game strategy.
- Excellent communication and ability to coach groups and individuals effectively.
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
- Adaptability and ability to work with diverse age groups and skill levels.
- Team spirit, professionalism, and a player-first mindset.
- Passion for tennis, coaching, and long-term athlete development.
Experience:
- 36 years of coaching experience in clubs, academies, schools, or private training (preferred).
- ITF certification is mandatory.
- Additional certifications such as PTR or USTA are an advantage.
