Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled Terraform Cloud Migration Expert to lead the migration of on-premises Terraform infrastructure to Terraform Cloud. This role requires expertise in Terraform, cloud architecture, and migration strategies to ensure a seamless, secure, and efficient transition of critical infrastructure.
Responsibility:
- Develop and implement detailed migration strategies for transitioning from on-premises Terraform infrastructure to Terraform Cloud.
- Design, configure, and manage Terraform modules to meet security, compliance, and architectural standards, ensuring consistency across environments.
- Conduct infrastructure assessments and map out compatibility with Terraform Cloud, identifying necessary modifications and migration best practices.
- Establish and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, including reusable and modular code for scalability.
- Automate provisioning and deployment workflows using Terraform Cloud's workspaces and related services.
- Collaborate with development, security, and DevOps teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business and security objectives.
- Document all Terraform configurations, migration processes, and system designs.
- Troubleshoot and optimize configurations and workflows for performance and cost-efficiency during migration.
- Train internal teams on Terraform Cloud and IaC best practices to ensure ongoing support and development.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years in IT automation, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles, with at least 3 years working specifically with Terraform.
- In-depth knowledge of Terraform and Terraform Cloud, with experience migrating from on-premises environments to cloud infrastructure.
- Proven experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation purposes.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
