Job Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, test cases, and comprehensive testing strategies for software applications.
- Prepare, configure, and maintain testing environments to ensure readiness for all test cycles.
- Execute manual and automated tests and accurately document all test results.
- Identify, log, and track defects discovered during testing phases.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure effective defect resolution and re-testing.
- Lead and perform comprehensive test coverage activities to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Validate applied fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure no new defects are introduced and that existing functionalities remain stable.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2-4+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance.
Strong understanding of
SDLC and
STLC and how QA fits into each phase.
Solid experience in
manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, sanity).
Practical experience with
test case design techniques (boundary value, equivalence partitioning, negative testing).
Experience in
test automation using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
Proficiency in writing and maintaining
automated test scripts.
Experience with
bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent).
Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
Good understanding of
API testing (Postman, REST concepts).
Familiarity with
CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes.
Basic knowledge of
databases and SQL for data validation.
Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
Ability to clearly document defects and communicate issues with development teams.
Experience working in
Agile/Scrum environments.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Self-driven, organized, and able to manage multiple testing cycles under tight timelines.
