Job Summary:
We are looking for a Testing & Commissioning Engineer with experience in High Voltage Substation projects to ensure safe and efficient commissioning of substation equipment. The role involves testing, troubleshooting, and verifying systems according to project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing, inspection, and commissioning of high voltage equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, protection relays, and switchgear.
- Conduct pre-commissioning and functional testing of electrical systems in substations.
- Prepare test reports, checklists, and documentation as per project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during testing and commissioning phases.
- Coordinate with design, construction, and operations teams for smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical specifications, and industry codes.
- Participate in site acceptance testing (SAT) and handover procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years experience in HV substation testing & commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of high voltage equipment, protection relays, and SCADA systems.
- Experience in using testing instruments such as insulation testers, relay test sets, and primary/secondary injection kits.
- Familiarity with IEC / ANSI standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GIS / AIS substations.
- Ability to work independently and in a team in a high-pressure project environment.
