Job Description: Testing & Commissioning Engineer
Project: Pumping Station – 01
Location: Fujairah, UAE
Contract Duration: 6 to 9 Months
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Testing & Commissioning Engineer for a pumping station project in Fujairah, UAE. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting all testing and commissioning activities for electrical and electromechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute testing & commissioning activities for pumping station systems.
- Perform pre-commissioning, functional testing, and final commissioning of electrical and electromechanical equipment.
- Test and commission pumps, motors, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, instrumentation, and associated systems.
- Verify installation against approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Prepare and review testing procedures, checklists, and commissioning reports.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during testing and commissioning stages.
- Coordinate with construction, electrical, mechanical, and client teams to ensure smooth commissioning.
- Ensure all activities comply with project QA/QC procedures, safety standards, and local regulations.
- Support handover activities and assist during performance testing and final acceptance.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in testing and commissioning of pumping stations.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electromechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with pumps, motors, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, and control systems.
- Ability to work independently on site with minimal supervision.
- Good understanding of commissioning procedures, safety practices, and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Immediate availability or short notice period preferred.
