Job Description

Job Purpose

Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the testing section for transformers and controls, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. Manage testing plans, equipment readiness, and manpower capabilities to deliver accurate and timely results that support business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Propose testing process and laboratory improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor and control section budgets in alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare detailed testing plans according to product specifications and relevant international standards.
  • Supervise and manage product testing processes, ensuring full compliance and accurate documentation.
  • Conduct troubleshooting with relevant stakeholders to perform root cause analysis of testing irregularities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Issue section-level test reports and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Expedite testing processes in line with project plans to prevent delivery delays.
  • Ensure calibration of testing equipment is performed as scheduled and monitor the overall condition of test equipment and fixtures.
  • Represent the section in testing committees with clients, presenting technical findings and reports.
  • Train, coach, and develop laboratory staff to maintain and improve the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of test results.

Qualification & Education:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Years of Experience: 7–10 years of professional experience in transformer or electrical equipment testing, quality assurance, or product validation, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Technical competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of international testing standards (IEC, IEEE, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with calibration standards and lab equipment management.
  • Understanding of project timelines and ability to align testing schedules accordingly.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and lab management tools.
