The Presales Expert (HSSE & Sustainability)

Overview:

The Presales Expert (HSSE & Sustainability) is responsible for supporting business opportunities by translating health, safety, security, environmental (HSSE), and sustainability requirements into practical and commercially viable digital solutions. The role collaborates with business development, product, engineering, and delivery teams throughout the presales lifecycle to support opportunity qualification, solution design, proposal development, and customer engagements. The position requires strong knowledge of industrial safety, environmental management, sustainability practices, and ESG reporting frameworks, combined with solution consulting capabilities and the ability to engage effectively with business and technical stakeholders. As an individual contributor, the role supports business growth by providing domain expertise, contributing to solution development, and helping customers address regulatory and operational challenges through digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support presales activities throughout the opportunity lifecycle, including opportunity qualification, RFP/RFI responses, solution presentations, proof-of-concept engagements, and proposal development.

• Collaborate with business development and commercial teams to understand customer requirements and develop value-driven solution proposals for clients across energy, mining, manufacturing, infrastructure, and other industrial sectors.

• Prepare solution documentation, technical narratives, implementation approaches, and commercial inputs for customer proposals.

• Support opportunity tracking and contribute customer, market, and competitive insights to strengthen business opportunities.

• Develop and maintain reusable proposal content, solution templates, case studies, and presales assets for HSSE and sustainability use cases.

• Contribute to improving proposal quality, presales processes, and customer engagement activities.

• Support the design of digital solutions addressing incident management, permit-to-work, environmental monitoring, ESG data management, sustainability reporting, and regulatory compliance.

• Assist in translating regulatory and operational requirements into practical, scalable, and deliverable digital solutions aligned with customer objectives.

• Support technical discussions by presenting solution capabilities, business benefits, and implementation considerations during customer engagements.

• Apply knowledge of industrial safety standards, environmental management practices, and ESG reporting frameworks to support solution development.

• Maintain awareness of evolving ESG regulations, industrial safety requirements, and digital technology trends to support continuous enhancement of solution offerings.

• Ensure proposed solutions align with recognized frameworks and standards, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, GRI, CSRD, TCFD, SEC climate disclosure requirements, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.

• Participate in discovery workshops, technical assessments, and solution presentations with HSE, sustainability, operations, and technology stakeholders.

• Build effective working relationships with customer stakeholders by providing consultative support and industry insights on HSSE and sustainability transformation initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, delivery, and commercial teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and aligned with implementation capabilities.

• Support the successful transition of opportunities from presales to delivery through effective documentation and knowledge transfer.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of solution assets, industry use cases, methodologies, and knowledge repositories for HSSE and sustainability solutions.

• Share knowledge, lessons learned, and industry best practices with colleagues and project teams.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen presales effectiveness, regulatory positioning, customer experience, and solution quality.

• Maintain awareness of emerging regulations, sustainability trends, and industry best practices to support ongoing capability development.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Sustainability, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.

• Professional certifications in sustainability, environmental management, occupational health and safety, ESG reporting, digital technologies, or related disciplines are preferred.

Experience:

• 8–12 years of experience in presales, solution consulting, technical sales, digital transformation, or consulting roles within HSSE, EHS technology, sustainability, or related industrial sectors.

• Experience supporting B2B opportunities involving HSSE, ESG, sustainability, or industrial technology solutions.

• Experience working with industrial organizations across energy, mining, manufacturing, infrastructure, or similar sectors is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Good understanding of industrial safety, environmental management, and sustainability reporting processes.

• Familiarity with major ESG reporting frameworks, including GRI, CSRD, TCFD, SEC climate disclosure requirements, and related regulatory standards.

• Working knowledge of industrial safety standards and management systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, and related compliance frameworks.

• Good solution consulting, business analysis, and requirements gathering skills.

• Ability to translate customer regulatory and operational requirements into practical and commercially viable digital solutions.

• Strong understanding of compliance-driven business environments and digital platforms supporting HSSE and sustainability management.

• Strong proposal preparation and technical documentation skills.

• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams.
