Tool & Automation Architect

A leading enterprise organisation is seeking an experienced Tool & Automation Architect(ServiceNow) to own and evolve its operational tooling and automation landscape. This is a senior, hands-on architecture role with responsibility for strategy, delivery, and team leadership across mission-critical operational systems.
The Role
- Own the architecture and re-architecture of enterprise operational tools, with a strong focus on automation and AIOps
- Define and execute a strategic roadmap aligned to business and operational objectives
- Lead a specialist tools & automation team, remaining hands-on across design and solution validation
- Drive process optimisation, system integration, and intelligent automation
- Oversee the full lifecycle of operational tools (design, build, integration, optimisation)
- Partner closely with network operations, IT, cybersecurity, and external vendors
- Manage budgets, performance metrics, documentation, and executive-level reporting
Key Skills & Experience
- 10+ years experience across operations tools, automation, or platform architecture
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams
- Strong programming background (e.g. Java, Python, C#)
- Deep experience with AIOps platforms (e.g. Moogsoft, Splunk ITSI, Dynatrace, IBM Watson AIOps, Ansible)
- Advanced knowledge of ITSM / ITOM / CMDB, including integrations and workflow automation (ServiceNow)
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Background in telecommunications or large-scale operational environments highly preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
