Job Description

Job Summary

The Trade Finance Executive oversees the full spectrum of trade finance operations, ensuring seamless execution of international financial transactions and strict regulatory compliance. Acting as a central liaison between banking partners, clients, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams (Sales, Procurement, and Logistics), this role manages the processing, reconciliation, and documentation of trade instruments including LCs, Bank Guarantees, and Bills of Exchange in alignment with shipment schedules.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Trade Finance Operations & Compliance

  • Manage end-to-end trade finance activities, including issuing, checking, and negotiating Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby LCs, Bank Guarantees, and Bills of Exchange.

  • Ensure all trade instruments and documentation strictly comply with international standards, including UCP 600, ISBP, Incoterms, and global banking rules.

  • Stay updated on evolving international trade regulations, sanctions, and industry best practices.

Stakeholder Coordination & Cash Flow Monitoring

  • Serve as the primary liaison with commercial banks, customers, and suppliers to facilitate prompt processing of trade instruments.

  • Partner with internal Procurement, Sales, and Logistics units to align financial documentation with shipping dispatches and operational timelines.

  • Track incoming and outgoing payment flows, perform timely account reconciliations, and resolve any operational discrepancies.

Reporting, Auditing & Facility Management

  • Prepare regular operational reports covering trade finance activities, credit facility utilization, and cash/funding forecasts.

  • Assist internal and external audit teams with documentation and verification for banking transactions and trade compliance.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on trade finance operations experience (background in steel or commodities trading is highly advantageous).

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of UCP 600, ISBP, Incoterms, and SWIFT messaging protocols proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) ERP experience is a plus.
