Trade Finance Officer, Senior | Bank | 6-Month Contract

Job Responsibilities

• Administers and monitors transactional collateral for commodity structured trade finance.
• Responsible for transactional and operational integrity of the credit facility structure especially in areas of settlement risk, operational risk, and performance risk.
• Work closely with Relationship Managers, back-office operations and Credit Risk Managers (CRM) as well as sales and product to coordinate and leverage on the expertise of each party.
• Ensures that all credit policies, NPAs, and SOPs are adhered to and update all transactions.
• To deliver structured trade finance services to clients in accordance with established quality, service standards and established procedures, policy, and standards.
• Perform Mark to Market (MTM) valuation, monitor cash collateral requirements follow up on top-ups when under-collateralised.
• Monitor Loan to Value (LTV) ratio to ensure that it is not breached and conduct margin calls whenever necessary.
• Alert Relationship Managers and Credit Risk Managers of any potential risks which might endanger the underlying asset or identify the source of repayment in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Banking and Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commodity and structured trade middle office and or back office.
• Attentive to details with good analytical skills and the ability to understand the intrinsic transactional risks.
• Able to cope with pressure and meet tight timeline.
• Team player with excellent organisational and interactive skills.
• Knowledge of trade-based rules such as UCP600, ISBP745, URC525 and Incoterms 2021.
