Job Overview:
We are seeking a senior-level professional to serve as Number Two to the Head of Crypto Trading. This is a strategic and operationally intensive role where you will help lead and grow a sophisticated, globally active crypto trading desk. You will play a key role in scaling the team's capabilities, refining market-making strategies, managing complex derivatives trading activities, and ensuring robust risk management practices.
The scope includes both the company's proprietary crypto token as well as broader crypto derivatives products, requiring a hands-on understanding of programmatic trading and quantitative models. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in quantitative analysis and programmatic trading, including working knowledge of model design and application.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Execution
- Collaborate directly with the Head of Trading to shape and execute global trading strategies across Spot, Derivatives, CeFi, DeFi, and Market Making.
- Lead complex derivatives trading, managing hedging, pricing, settlement processes, and risk oversight.
- Contribute to strategy development for the group's own token and related crypto derivative products.
Market Making & Infrastructure Optimization
- Build and refine sophisticated market-making strategies, optimizing execution quality and liquidity management.
- Contribute to designing, developing, and scaling proprietary trading and market-making infrastructure.
- Leverage quantitative trading techniques and automation to improve performance and execution efficiency.
Risk & Operations Management
- Oversee trading execution and manage risk across diverse trading portfolios and operational environments.
- Develop frameworks to ensure compliance, operational excellence, and robust risk management processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with technology, product, marketing, and risk teams to ensure seamless integration of trading strategies and infrastructure.
- Foster collaboration, ensuring alignment and efficient execution across multiple teams and functions.
Team Growth & Mentorship
- Mentor, guide, and develop team members, fostering a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.
- Ensure the team's capacity scales effectively, without compromising speed, precision, and trading edge.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in crypto trading, derivatives, or market-making environments.
- Deep expertise in crypto derivatives, including a comprehensive understanding of hedging, pricing, risk management, and settlement processes.
- Strong experience in quantitative and programmatic trading, with solid knowledge of programming models and automation.
- Background in algorithmic trading or technical infrastructure development is highly preferred.
- Proven leadership and management skills in high-pressure, fast-paced trading environments.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and operational execution capabilities.
