Role Description The Trailer Driver role at Lever is a full-time, on-site position based in Umm Al Quwain. The Trailer Driver is responsible for safely transporting tiles, slabs, and related materials between Lever's facilities, warehouses, and customer project sites, ensuring timely and secure delivery. Daily tasks include loading and securing cargo, conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and following designated routes and schedules in line with UAE traffic and safety regulations. The Trailer Driver will coordinate closely with logistics, warehouse, and project teams to support efficient material flow and accurate documentation, including delivery notes and transport records. The role may also involve assisting with basic vehicle upkeep, reporting maintenance needs, and representing Lever professionally when interacting with clients and site personnel.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong trailer and heavy vehicle driving skills, including experience operating in UAE traffic conditions and familiarity with safe loading and unloading practices.
- Candidates should possess sound knowledge of road safety, defensive driving techniques, and compliance with UAE transport regulations and company policies.
- Candidates should possess skills in route planning, time management, and basic record-keeping to manage delivery schedules and documentation efficiently.
- Candidates should possess abilities in vehicle inspection, identifying basic mechanical issues, and coordinating timely maintenance with the relevant teams.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills to work closely with warehouse staff, project managers, and clients on-site.
- Valid UAE heavy vehicle driving license and a clean driving record are required.
- Previous experience as a trailer or heavy vehicle driver in construction, materials supply, or logistics is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as assisting with loading and securing materials, and to work in outdoor site conditions.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read delivery documents, follow instructions, and complete transport records accurately.
