Role Purpose: To provide accurate, high-quality translation and interpretation services to support official communications, documents, and stakeholders, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational standards and UAE government protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Translate a wide range of documents (e.g., official correspondence, reports, policies, presentations) between Arabic and English while maintaining accuracy and meaning.
- Review and proofread translated materials to ensure linguistic quality, consistency, and compliance with terminology standards.
- Provide simultaneous and/or consecutive interpretation during meetings, workshops, and official events, as required.
- Ensure all translations reflect appropriate tone, context, and cultural sensitivity in line with government communication standards.
- Maintain and update a centralized glossary/terminology database to standardize translations across the organization.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to clarify content and ensure accurate interpretation of technical or specialized terminology.
- Support the preparation of bilingual communication materials and official documents for internal and external use.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information in all translation activities.
- Adhere to organizational policies, document control procedures, and quality standards.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Arabic/English Language, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in translation within a government entity or professional environment.
- Strong command of Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
