Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Management (Travel & Tourism Field )

Record and reconcile customer invoices and receipts for travel bookings (flights, hotels, packages).

Handle supplier/vendor payments (airlines, hotels, DMCs).

Reconcile accounts payable/receivable with ticketing and tour systems (e.g., GDS, Amadeus, Sabre).

Monitor cash flow and prepare daily financial reports.

Process refunds and cancellations accurately.

2. Cost Control & Revenue Tracking

Track margins on travel products and services sold.

Prepare reports on tour/package profitability.

Monitor exchange rate impacts on foreign currency transactions.

3. Banking & Treasury

Reconcile bank accounts and payment gateways (POS, online payments, wire transfers).

Oversee travel credit card usage and petty cash disbursement.

4. Compliance & Audit

Ensure compliance with VAT/GST, tourism-related taxes, and local regulations.

Assist auditors with relevant documentation and account statements.

5. Reporting & Analysis

Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Collaborate with management on budget planning and financial forecasting.

Provide sales teams with reports on agent commissions and booking performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (mandatory)

Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or CMA) is a strong advantage

Experience:

24 years of accounting experience, preferably in travel, tourism, or hospitality

Familiarity with GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo), and travel agency accounting

Experience working with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Oracle)

Skills:

Strong understanding of revenue recognition in the tourism sector

Knowledge of international payment methods and foreign exchange

Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills

Analytical mindset with attention to detail

Good communication and problem-solving abilities

Tools & Platforms (Preferred Knowledge)

Global Distribution Systems (GDS): Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo

Accounting Software: Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics

CRM / ERP Tools: Zoho CRM, Odoo, Oracle NetSuite

MS Excel, Power BI (for financial dashboards)
