Role Description The Treasurer is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, Egypt, responsible for overseeing the company's cash management, liquidity, and financial risk. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring bank accounts, managing daily cash flow, preparing cash forecasts, and ensuring sufficient funding for operations and investments. The role involves coordinating with financial institutions, negotiating banking terms, and optimizing the use of credit facilities. The Treasurer will track foreign currency exposures, support hedging strategies where applicable, and ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations. The position also requires preparing treasury reports, supporting budgeting and financial planning, and collaborating with finance, accounting, and operations teams to align treasury activities with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong treasury and finance skills, including cash management, liquidity planning, and understanding of banking products and credit facilities.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to interpret data and prepare clear reports for management.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls, with attention to accuracy, compliance, and risk management.
- Comfort with financial software, ERP systems, and Excel, including the use of formulas, models, and dashboards for treasury activities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with internal teams and external banking partners.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CTP, CFA) are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a treasury or finance role, preferably within logistics, transportation, or trading sectors, is highly beneficial.
