Project Description:

Leading Bank in UAE is looking for murex consultants to support bank in their treasury division transformation.

Responsibilities:

  • Consultant involves in providing technical and functional expertise to implement, configure, and support Murex solutions within a treasury environment.
  • Candidate to manage Murex Environments, EOD and related infrastructure on multiple environments to support Prod and Non-prod environments.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of Murex architecture.
  • Must be able to create environments from scratch and understand well the murex database and data model.
  • Should be an expert in scripting unix shell and SQL.
  • Should be able to debug different EOD issues and understand well EOD scripts.
  • Supporting the Pre-Core, Core, Accounting, Var, CVA and MLC batches.
  • Assist the service delivery team with design and implementation of new batches according to new requirements.
  • Configuring the processing scripts, feeders, stored procedures for various modules and debugging the issues related to it.
  • Monitor and tune performance of overall EOD.

Mandatory Skills Description:

  • Minimum working experience of 10-12 years of experience. Murex environment exp between 7-12 years.
  • Experience with Murex 3.1 platform.
  • Having experience with multiple asset classes: Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX Cash, FX Derivatives, Commodities, Structured Derivatives, Exotics
  • Understanding of murex EOD architecture, key services and end to end process, murex log structure & artefact location.
  • Knowledge of Scheduling tool such as control m, Autosys
  • Ability to resolve feeder exceptions, overflow, crashes and to unblock stalled batches
  • Understanding and debugging of bash, ant, python/perl scripts on LINUX RHEL.
  • Knowledge of DB fundamentals such as query plan, SQL, indexing

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

  • Additional knowledge in workflows and reporting is a plus.
