Job Description

Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company to hire a TSF Coordinator responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of tailings storage facilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while maintaining the structural integrity and performance of the TSF.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily TSF operations, including tailings deposition, water management, and embankment monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and international standards (e.g., GISTM)
  • Coordinate routine inspections, audits, and reporting related to TSF safety and environmental performance
  • Maintain accurate operational records, including deposition rates, water balance, and monitoring data
  • Support TSF construction activities, including dam raises and maintenance works
  • Collaborate with geotechnical, environmental, and operations teams to monitor facility stability
  • Identify risks and escalate any issues related to TSF safety and integrity
  • Coordinate contractors and site teams involved in TSF operations
  • Monitor instrumentation (e.g., piezometers, inclinometers) and assist in data analysis
  • Support emergency preparedness and response planning for TSF-related incidents
  • Promote and enforce a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
  • 37 years of experience in TSF operations, mining, or related infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of tailings management and dam safety principles
  • Familiarity with international standards such as GISTM
  • Experience with monitoring systems and data interpretation
  • Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work in remote or site-based environments

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of water management and environmental compliance practices
  • Previous experience in mining or heavy industrial environments
