As a Sales Assistant, your primary purpose is to maintain a shoppable store environment, drive sales through effective customer service, and utilize your product knowledge to meet sales targets. Success in this role requires maintaining a clean and organized store, providing excellent customer service, and utilizing selling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales. You will operate within well-defined processes and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve individual store budget goals.
What You Will Do:
Customer Service
Provide high-level customer service both internally and externally.
Assist and advise customers professionally on product categories.
POS Operation
Operate the point of sales system as required.
Ensure high-level accuracy in all transactions.
Follow procedures for cash operation.
Product Knowledge
Learn product uses and advantages.
Advise customers on the right products to enhance revenues.
Encourage add-on sales to increase transaction size.
Receiving Deliveries
Assist with receiving and displaying goods as per procedures.
Ensure products are readily available for customer purchase.
Ticketing & Pricing
Comply with in-store procedures regarding pricing and ticketing.
Ensure correct pricing to protect against company losses.
Merchandising Principles
Apply merchandising principles after training to maintain corporate image.
Initiate cleaning programs for assigned department to maintain store appearance.
Other Events
Assist in stock take, new store openings, and product/seasonal launches as needed.
