Key Responsibilities
Underwriting & Risk Assessment
- Exercise underwriting authority in line with company guidelines and delegated limits.
- Assess risks, determine appropriate rating, terms, and conditions.
- Refer risks exceeding authority with complete documentation and underwriting recommendations.
- Ensure all underwriting decisions are supported by full and accurate risk information.
Business Development & Sales
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and business partners.
- Identify and maximize sales opportunities across allocated distribution channels.
- Achieve annual sales targets and business plan objectives.
- Utilize CRM, quote registers, and sales pipelines to track prospects and share leads.
Renewals & Retention
- Manage renewal portfolio efficiently in coordination with production teams.
- Provide market feedback to improve retention and competitiveness.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Adhere to agreed SLAs with brokers and clients.
- Ensure timely issuance and delivery of policy documents.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Ensure premium collection in line with credit policy and minimize outstanding debt in coordination with credit control.
General
- Support strategic initiatives and ensure underwriting profitability.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.
