Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Underwriting and Onboarding Specialist to support our merchant onboarding process and ensure a seamless, compliant, and efficient experience. You will collaborate closely with sales, risk, and customer success teams to assess applications, verify documentation, and uphold our underwriting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Risk teams to process merchant applications efficiently and accurately.
- Review submitted documents to verify completeness, accuracy, and authenticity.
- Conduct credit and risk assessments to determine merchant eligibility.
- Maintain thorough and organized records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Ensure all onboarding and underwriting activities meet established turnaround times without compromising quality.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of underwriting workflows and risk assessment models.
- Systematically archive and manage onboarding documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in underwriting or merchant onboarding, preferably within payments, fintech, banking, or lending.
- Solid understanding of credit risk analysis and underwriting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
