Job Description
We are seeking a Uniform Administrator to manage the hotel's uniform and ensure that all employees receive clean, well-maintained uniforms according to hotel standards. The role involves maintaining uniform inventory, issuing and collecting uniforms, coordinating laundry and alterations, and keeping accurate employee and stock records.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue uniforms to new employees and existing colleagues according to department and position.
- Maintain accurate records of uniform issuance, returns, exchanges and replacements.
- Organize uniforms by department, employee name, position and size.
- Collect used uniforms and coordinate with the laundry team for cleaning.
- Inspect returned uniforms for stains, damage, missing buttons and other defects.
- Arrange repairs and alterations through the appropriate department or supplier.
- Maintain adequate stock of uniforms in all required sizes.
- Conduct regular physical inventory and reconcile stock records.
- Monitor uniform condition and recommend replacement when necessary.
- Coordinate with Human Resources regarding new joiners, transfers, promotions and employee separations.
- Coordinate with Laundry, Housekeeping, Purchasing and departmental supervisors regarding uniform requirements.
- Prepare uniform requisitions and follow up on replacement or new uniform orders.
- Maintain records of uniforms issued to each employee for accountability.
- Ensure all uniforms are clean, pressed, properly labeled and ready for use.
- Keep the uniform room clean, organized, secure and hygienic at all times.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly uniform inventory reports.
- Assist during hotel events, opening operations and special occasions with additional uniform requirements.
- Ensure compliance with hotel grooming, uniform and hygiene standards.
- Handle employee uniform requests professionally and provide prompt assistance.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Manager.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel uniform room, housekeeping, laundry or linen operation is preferred.
- Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of uniform and inventory control procedures.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural hotel team.
- Professional appearance and a service-oriented attitude.
