About the Role
Help make Pulse answers and interactions accurate, testable and useful.
As a Pulse Product and Knowledge Operations Intern, you will learn how to organise approved knowledge, test conversational behaviour, reproduce defects and translate user needs into clear requirements for the technical team.
This role is focused on product operations, knowledge management, quality assurance and conversational AI. You will work in supervised training and demonstration environments and build practical evidence that can be reviewed by the team.
What You Will Learn and Do
- Check voice and text responses against the correct approved source and user permissions.
- Organise knowledge documents, source references, versions and access scope.
- Test missing, outdated or conflicting information and record unsupported answers.
- Reproduce interaction defects, interruptions and incorrect context using clear test steps.
- Write requirements and acceptance criteria that developers and testers can use.
- Maintain an issue list, verification checklist and repeatable product handover.
What You Need at Entry
You should be able to:
- Compare an answer with a source and identify an unsupported claim.
- Explain a defect using clear steps, expected behaviour and observed behaviour.
- Write clear English notes and distinguish a fact from a suspected cause.
- Organise documents and understand how permissions can affect an answer.
- Report an incomplete result or important limitation before a meeting or demonstration.
Useful Experience and Skills
Experience or knowledge in the following areas is useful:
- Quality assurance
- Knowledge management
- Product operations
- Technical support
- University or personal projects involving testing or documentation
- APIs
- Databases
- Retrieval systems
- Issue trackers
Senior software development skills are not required.
Students, recent graduates and other early-career applicants may apply, subject to appropriate training or work authorisation.
How Elchai Works
Elchai 3.0 combines supervised learning with practical work, checked evidence and reusable procedures.
We are building one Governance Orchestration engine, with Pulse providing its human interface.
Two rules guide the work:
- Customer, venture and function branches must remain isolated.
- Specific human approval is required before important actions.
Pulse is the voice and text interface within Governance Orchestration. Knowledge changes, permissions, consequential actions and release decisions follow defined approval routes.
An intern's test report supports a readiness decision. It does not authorise a production release.
What Progress Looks Like
During your first three supervised days, you will:
- Check a small conversation.
- Reproduce a defect.
- Improve a test note based on feedback.
By the end of the school pathway, your evidence should include:
- A versioned knowledge pack.
- Role and branch test cases.
- Reproducible issue reports.
- A checklist that another trained person can use.
Progress is assessed through delivery, quality, product and rule understanding, reliability and communication.
Example Practical Task
You may be given a fictional Pulse conversation and a short set of approved facts.
You will be asked to:
- Identify unsupported or incorrect responses.
- Connect each issue to the relevant source rule.
- Suggest a safe corrected response.
- Create reproducible tests.
- Separate what you observed from what you believe may have caused the issue.
- Identify anything that requires human approval.
The goal is to understand how you think, test, document and communicate, rather than to test senior-level software development.
Certificate
A school completion certificate may be issued after:
- Completion of the eight-week school.
- Completion of the required work and evidence.
- A score of at least 7.5/10.
- Written human sign-off.
The proposed certificate is issued by Elchai World FZCO under the Elchai Group brand.
The certificate represents completion of the internal training pathway and does not represent academic or government accreditation.
AI Use and Human Review
AI may be used as part of the interview and assessment process. HR will explain AI use and any recording before the session.
All final admission, progression and employment decisions are made through human review.
