Job Description

We are currently looking for Urban Designers to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and contribute to complex, multidisciplinary urban development projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct the site analysis to understand the economic, socio-demographic, legal, political, cultural, physical, and environmental contexts.
  • Collaborate in preparing land use plans and development policies for master planning and other urban development and governance projects.
  • Prepare zoning and development control regulations, guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Prepare technical proposals, urban plans, and feasibility studies following the local and international codes and standards.
  • Digitize the data and informatics into the urban database accurately to ensure the extraction of useful information.
  • Employ the best urban design practices to deliver successful schemes from concept through to planning and beyond.

QUALIFICATIONS

We envision you have:

A Bachelor's degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.

36 years of professional experience in urban planning or development projects.

Experience in GCC or MENA region projects is desirable.

You should also demonstrate:

Proficiency in ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro.

Strong skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design/modeling tools.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Good knowledge of site analysis, spatial planning, and feasibility studies.

Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Arabic is a plus).

Strong organizational, analytical, and teamwork abilities.

Familiarity with local and international planning codes and sustainability standards.
