URGENT - Senior Accounts Executive (8 months contract / Immediate)

About the role

We are partnering with a reputable organization within the maritime industry to support its finance team. This role offers exposure to accounting operations, month-end closing, compliance activities and cash management, while working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end closing activities, including preparation of accounting schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, employee claims and payment transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor cash positions to support operational requirements.
• Support statutory, tax and audit requirements, including GST filings, tax schedules and external audit requests.
• Partner internal stakeholders and external service providers to maintain strong financial controls and drive process improvements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with exposure to month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience in GST, audit coordination and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Meticulous, proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
