Job Responsibilities:
Strategic & Management Support: Support the Department General Manager in developing and implementing financial strategies, corporate policies, and initiatives to strengthen internal controls and operational effectiveness.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis: Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and evaluation of annual and quarterly budgets. Perform financial analysis, monitor key expense metrics, and provide insights to support management decision-making.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and support the effective and secure utilization of funds. Review project-related contract payments and maintain appropriate expense controls.
Taxation & Audit Coordination: Support tax planning and tax filing preparations, coordinate annual statutory audits, and ensure proper maintenance of financial records and documentation.
Cross-Border Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination between the Singapore office, overseas headquarters, and external stakeholders, including banks, tax authorities, and external auditors.
Listed Company Compliance: Support compliance with applicable listing requirements, disclosure obligations, and corporate governance standards, including coordination of quarterly and annual financial announcements.
Internal & External Coordination: Act as a key liaison between the Finance Department, other internal departments, and external parties to ensure smooth communication and timely completion of finance-related matters.
Financial Reporting & Administrative Support: Handle day-to-day departmental administrative matters, including drafting documents, performing data analysis, preparing consolidated financial statements and monthly management reports, and coordinating meetings.
Ad-hoc Responsibilities: Undertake other finance, administrative, and business support duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements:
Professional Degree in Accountancy CPA/CA equivalent qualifications.
Minimum 10 years of progressive financial managerial experience (preferably relevant experience in the maritime, shipping, logistic industry).
Candidates with cumulative working experience with at least 5 years at a well-known accounting or audit firm is highly advantageous.
Experience with SAP software and Bloomberg would be an added advantage.
