We are currently looking for a Utilities, Facilities, Energy & Environment Manager to join our team at Nissan Motor Egypt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and strategic development of all plant utilities, energy systems, environmental compliance, and facilities infrastructure, while maintaining full adherence to Nissan standards and national regulations. This role is essential for supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations, safeguarding infrastructure integrity, and driving sustainability and cost-reduction initiatives across the plant.

This position requires strong leadership and team-management capabilities, the ability to supervise diverse technical teams and contractors, and solid competency in planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and continuous improvement. Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

Utilities Operation & Optimization

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical distribution, HVAC, steam, compressed air, water treatment, and gas supply systems.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives and optimizes utility consumption to support plant sustainability targets.
  • Ensure redundancy, contingency plans, and system reliability to prevent production disruptions.

Facilities Management

  • Manage maintenance of buildings, roads, grounds, and infrastructure.
  • Supervise repairs, refurbishments, cleaning, landscaping, and plumbing/steam network activities.
  • Plan and execute facility upgrades, expansions, and capital improvement projects in coordination with Plant Engineering.

Environment and Energy

  • Ensure full compliance with local, national, Nissan, and international environmental regulations.
  • Manage CO emissions, VOC control, wastewater treatment, and hazardous waste handling.
  • Lead environmental audits, inspections, and reporting activities.
  • Drive energy and water consumption reduction plans and long-term sustainability strategies.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Ensure proper training, skill development, and performance management for all team members.
  • Foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement across utilities and facilities operations.

Budgeting, Reporting & Performance Management

  • Develop and manages annual budgets and forecasts for utilities, facilities, and environmental operations.
  • Set KPI targets, monitors performance, and prepares regular reports for local and global functions.
  • Ensure timely reporting of operational issues, safety concerns, and equipment abnormalities.
  • Review and validate technical offers from suppliers and contractors to ensure cost-effective, high-quality solutions.

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • 7-10 years of experience, including at least 3 years in Utility Management.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, environmental management systems, and utility operations.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and contractors.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices, energy management, and environmental compliance standards.
