Job description:
JOB PURPOSE:
To carryout repetitive, highly specific and precisely defined tasks under close & continuous supervision.
To operate tools and record information as instructed.
To assist skilled employees in the assigned area across the plant.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist skilled employees in either operations or maintenance while maintaining high degree of quality and safety standards.
- Ensure housekeeping of the assigned work areas to the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the company following 5S principles and instructions.
- Provide appropriate tools to the crew members
- Hold, lift, fetch and move parts/materials as directed.
- Perform tasks entrusted according to the expected performance level following safety regulations and work procedure.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Schooling and reasonable English.
Minimum Experience:
- Two-year experience in performing physical work and/or semi-skilled jobs preferably in an industrial environment.
Skills:
- Ability to understand simple instructions (oral or written) and request clarifications (if needed) in English.
- Physically strong & agile to perform laborious tasks.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Basic numeracy skills
- Knowledge of maintenance tools
