Position: Vehicle Inbound/Receiving Officer
Job Summary:
The Vehicle Inbound/Receiving Officer manages the receipt, inspection, and organization of vehicles arriving at a stockyard. This role ensures accurate documentation, quality checks, and efficient placement of vehicles for storage or distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify incoming vehicles against shipping documents.
- Inspect vehicles for damage or defects and record findings.
- Log vehicle details (e.g., VIN, make, model) into inventory systems.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers and stockyard staff for smooth operations.
- Tag and park vehicles in designated stockyard areas.
- Report discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Follow safety and stockyard protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid drivers license (preferred).
- Experience in stockyard or automotive logistics is a plus.
