Job Summary

The Vendor Management Specialist AI & Compute Solutions is responsible for managing strategic relationships with AI, cloud, and compute technology vendors. The role ensures alignment between vendor capabilities, commercial terms, product strategy, and business objectives. It focuses on vendor performance management, commercial negotiations, service alignment, and enabling internal teams with the right vendor-driven solutions to meet market demand.

  • Accountability & Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage relationships with AI, cloud, and compute technology vendors
  • Act as the primary commercial and operational interface between the company and vendors
  • Negotiate pricing models, commercial agreements, SLAs, and partnership terms
  • Ensure competitive and scalable vendor pricing structures aligned with business margins
  • Monitor vendor performance against agreed KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, enablement, and certification programs
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to align vendor capabilities with market needs
  • Evaluate and select new vendors based on strategic fit, technology roadmap, and financial impact
  • Support pricing strategies by aligning vendor cost structures with service pricing models
  • Drive joint business planning with vendors to ensure growth and partnership expansion
  • Manage vendor-driven product updates, lifecycle changes, and roadmap alignment
  • Identify risks related to vendor dependency and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, financial, and operational governance standards
  • Support go-to-market initiatives in coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze vendor financial performance, rebate programs, and incentive structures
  • Track partnership profitability and contribution margins
  • Drive continuous optimization of vendor portfolio to enhance competitiveness
  • Requirements:

1 Required Experience

  • 47 years of experience in Vendor Management, Technology Partnerships, or Product Commercial Management
  • Strong exposure to AI Stack, cloud, or compute infrastructure solutions
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements and pricing structures
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, Finance)
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and analytical skills.

2 Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML Concepts, platforms and computing workloads
  • Knowledge of on-premise Deployments requirements/environments
  • Understanding of GPU/CPU infrastructure and AI compute environments
  • Familiarity with AI ecosystems such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI, and NVIDIA AI stack
  • Knowledge of cloud pricing models and consumption-based billing
  • Ability to evaluate vendor technical capabilities from both business and technical perspectives
  • Understanding of SLAs, service governance, and vendor performance frameworks

3 Certifications (Preferred)

  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Vendor or partnership management certifications
  • AI or Data-related certifications
  • Commercial or contract negotiation training (advantage)
