Role Purpose:
The Venture Building Specialist will support the execution and delivery of hands-on Venture Building Programs at Dhahran Techno Valley. The role focuses on operating a cohort-based startup development activities, supporting deep-tech startups through co-development, structured guidance, performance tracking, and ecosystem engagement.
The position works closely with founders, mentors, internal teams, and ecosystem partners to ensure effective program delivery and measurable startup progress.
This role is hands-on and execution focused.
Description:
Startup Scouting & Evaluation
- Support the sourcing, screening, and evaluation of startups for admission into DTV's venture building programs.
- Coordinate the startup selection process, ensuring alignment with program objectives and sector focus (deep tech, innovation-driven ventures).
- Conduct research on emerging tech, venture trends, and global best practices.
Program Execution & Delivery
- Execute tailored deep-tech venture building programs, including workshops, coaching sessions, reviews, and demo-related activities.
- Provide hands-on guidance to startups on venture development, technical validation, market readiness, and fundraising readiness.
- Support founders throughout the program journey, ensuring clarity of expectations, milestones, and deliverables.
- Facilitate collaboration opportunities to support startup growth.
- Support budget tracking and operational reporting related to the venture builder program.
- Coordinate with internal teams (legal, finance, operations, facilities) to support startup needs throughout the program lifecycle.
Performance Monitoring & KPIs
- Define, track and monitor startup progress against KPIs and milestones.
- Use data-driven insights to support continuous improvement of program delivery and outcomes.
- Contribute to positioning the venture builder program within the local and regional innovation ecosystem.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in engineering, business, or related fields (MBA preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in designing and executing venture building, early startup acceleration, venture capital, or former startup experience.
- Experience in translating lab-scale innovations into startup ventures is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of startup development methodologies, commercialization pathways, IP considerations, and venture readiness.
- Excellent project management, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and execution discipline.
