Job Title: Venue Technology Manager

Role Overview
The Venue Technology Manager is responsible for planning, delivering, and managing all technology services within assigned venues for a major international football tournament. This role ensures seamless integration, operation, and support of all event-related technology systems, aligning with organizational standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technology Planning & Delivery
- Oversee the end-to-end deployment of venue technology infrastructure, including IT networks, broadcast support systems, and telecommunications.
- Coordinate with central technology teams to ensure all systems are delivered on time and meet required specifications.
- Manage technology fit-out plans, installation schedules, and testing phases.
2. Venue Operations Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for all technology operations within the venue.
- Ensure all systems (e.g., connectivity, access control, accreditation systems, and match-day technology) function reliably during events.
- Lead troubleshooting and incident management, ensuring minimal disruption.
3. Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with internal departments (broadcast, security, operations) and external vendors.
- Liaise with local authorities, stadium management, and service providers.
- Support user groups such as media, teams, officials, and event staff with their technology needs.
4. Testing & Readiness
- Plan and execute venue technology testing events, including rehearsals and simulations.
- Ensure all systems meet operational readiness criteria before match days.
- Maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and issue logs.
5. Team Leadership
- Manage and supervise on-site technology teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance oversight.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security standards.
6. Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify potential risks related to technology delivery and operations.
- Implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and organizational policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8+ years of experience in IT/technology management, preferably in large-scale events or sports environments.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, systems integration, and event technology solutions.
- Experience managing vendors and multi-stakeholder environments.
