Venue Technology Supervisor

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Venue Technology Supervisor to support the planning, implementation, and day-to-day operational delivery of technology systems across multiple event venues in Riyadh.

The successful candidate will work closely with venue operations, technology teams, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that venue technology services are properly deployed, tested, monitored, and maintained throughout the event lifecycle.

This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone with experience working with technology infrastructure and systems within large-scale events, sporting events, venues, exhibitions, or complex live environments.

This is a full-time onsite role supporting operations across venues in Riyadh. The role may require travel between venues and flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and extended hours during live event periods. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly coordinated event environment where technology readiness and operational continuity are critical. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the deployment and operation of technology systems and services across assigned venues.
• Coordinate with technology suppliers, contractors, venue teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure technology requirements are delivered according to plan.
• Support venue technology mobilisation, installation, testing, commissioning, live operations, and demobilisation.
• Monitor the performance and availability of venue technology systems during operational and live event periods.
• Conduct regular venue inspections and technology readiness checks.
• Coordinate testing and troubleshooting of technology systems prior to and during event operations.
• Identify technical issues, coordinate resolution, and escalate critical incidents where required.
• Ensure technology equipment, systems, cabling, connectivity, and related infrastructure are properly installed and operational.
• Coordinate technology requirements with venue operations and other functional teams.
• Maintain accurate records of technology assets, installations, testing activities, incidents, and outstanding issues.
• Support technology change requests and ensure approved changes are properly implemented and documented.
• Monitor suppliers and contractors to ensure agreed service levels and operational requirements are met.
• Support the preparation of venue technology readiness reports and daily operational updates.
• Assist with incident management and coordinate with relevant technical teams to minimise disruption to event operations.
• Ensure all technology activities are delivered in accordance with relevant venue, health and safety, security, and operational procedures.
• Support technology operations during event days, including potentially extended hours, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Carry out other venue technology and operational coordination duties as required.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in venue technology, IT infrastructure, technology operations, event technology, or a related field.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale events, sporting events, major venues, exhibitions, or complex operational environments is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of venue technology operations and technology infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating technology suppliers, contractors, and technical teams.
• Experience with technology installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and live operational support.
• Strong understanding of network/connectivity concepts and general IT infrastructure.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation, layouts, drawings, and technology plans.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to operational issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard reporting tools.
• Must be currently based in Saudi Arabia.
• Must be available to work onsite in both Riyadh and Jeddah as required.
• Must be available to start ASAP and commit through February/March 2027.
