About the role
Vertical Specialist focuses on driving strategy, growth, and customer engagement within a specific industry vertical (such as Energy, Automotive, or Electronics). It is a strategic, marketfocused role that links customer needs, market insights, and the company's technology and product portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Owning the Vertical Strategy
- Develop and execute the business or marketing plan for your assigned industry.
- Shape the gotomarket strategy, align with portfolio leaders, and drive innovation priorities.
- Driving Key Account & Customer Engagement
- Work closely with marquee/key customers.
- Lead workshops, executive engagements, events, tech days, and verticalspecific sessions to deepen relationships and identify needs.
- Leading AccountBased Marketing (ABM)
- Design and execute targeted ABM campaigns for priority accounts through both digital and inperson channels.
- Providing Market Insights & Industry Trend Analysis
- Gather customer insights and analyze industry trends.
- Deliver findings to product, R&D, and portfolio teams to influence innovation and roadmap planning.
- Supporting New Product Commercialization
- Collaborate crossfunctionally to support new product launches, commercialization activities, and business case creation.
- Measuring Performance & Optimizing Outreach
- Track engagement metrics, measure ABM campaign ROI, and refine strategies for improved impact.
What are we looking for
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant experience in marketing, strategy, sales, or technical roles (typically 37+ years depending on the position level).
- Experience working in a global or crossfunctional environment.
- Industry knowledge of the assigned vertical (Energy, Automotive, etc.) and ability to solve customer challenges.
- Strategic planning and execution skills.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with crossfunctional teams (Marketing, R&D, Portfolio teams, etc.).
- Market research, analytical, and technology comprehension skills.
- AccountBased Marketing (ABM) experience, including digital and inperson engagement.
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
- Preferred: Master's degree in business, engineering, or technical marketing.
- Preferred: Experience leading crossfunctional projects and influencing multiple teams.
