Job Title: VP Advisory and Managed Solutions, Wealth Management

Division: Retail Banking

Function: Wealth Management Products

Job Purpose:

The VP of Advisory and Managed Solutions, Wealth Management will establish the Advisory proposition to offer portfolio-based advisory services for our clients. In addition, the role holder's responsibility will include promoting a professionally managed portfolio-based approach as the core offering of our Wealth management proposition. The jobholder will be responsible for overseeing a strategic partnership with an Asset Management company for the development of our Advisory and Managed solutions proposition encompassing: Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), Tactical Asset Allocations (TAA), long-term investment themes, high-conviction investment ideas, model portfolios, discretionary and/ or multi-asset portfolios, and client investment content and publications. This role aims to enhance the Elite and Investment Management value proposition, drive business growth, and ensure the delivery of compelling managed solutions offerings for our clients.

Key Accountabilities:

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Advisory proposition, partnering with a third-party provider to introduce portfolio management services.
  • Develop and manage an economically viable client-centric Managed Solutions offering with a strategic Asset Management partner.
  • Establish and maintain a close relationship with asset managers and third-party providers.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with distribution teams to develop promotional strategies for Managed solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Managed Solutions product roadmap in collaboration with a strategic partner.
  • Collaborate with third-party providers and Asset Managers to build core capabilities across Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), Tactical Asset Allocations (TAA), long-term investment themes, high-conviction investment ideas, model portfolios, discretionary and/ or multi-asset portfolios, and client investment content and publications.
  • Own the product management activities for Managed Solutions.
  • Create a robust operational model with well-defined processes and procedures for Managed solutions product development and management.
  • Drive product launching initiatives from ideation to launch and follow through lifecycle management activities.
  • Lead the development of strategic partnerships with providers and stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Analyze data and customer feedback to make informed business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver towards the strategic direction of the wealth management division and the Affluent segment.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure the success of the Managed Solutions offering.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience.

Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Wealth Management and or investment-linked insurance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders and foster collaboration.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute plans.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyse market trends, performance metrics, and identify opportunities for constant evolution of the Managed solutions offering.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

Minimum Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in Wealth Management, direct experience in Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), Tactical Asset Allocations (TAA), long-term investment themes, high-conviction investment ideas, model portfolios, discretionary and/ or multi-asset portfolios, and client investment content and publications is a plus.
  • Proven track record in developing and managing wealth products/services partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and regulatory requirements.
