Vice President, Cyber Detection & Response

I'm partnering with a leading financial services organisation to hire a Vice President, Cyber Detection & Response.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced cybersecurity professional who enjoys staying hands-on while driving the organisation's detection and response capabilities. You'll play a key role in strengthening cyber resilience across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead major cyber incidents and oversee the end-to-end incident response and digital forensics lifecycle.
• Drive Managed Detection & Response (MDR), threat hunting and detection engineering initiatives across the enterprise.
• Enhance and optimise SIEM, SOAR, EDR and DLP platforms to strengthen detection and response capabilities.
• Develop security automation, orchestration and AI-enabled security operations to improve operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain incident response playbooks, conduct tabletop exercises and enhance cyber crisis readiness.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, regulators and external security vendors to strengthen the organisation's cyber defense.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of cybersecurity experience with strong expertise in Incident Response, DFIR, Detection Engineering and Threat Hunting.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, DLP and security automation technologies.
• Strong understanding of MAS TRM, NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001 and the MITRE ATT&CK framework..
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCFA, GCIH, GNFA, GREM or equivalent are advantageous.
