Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Vice President Insurance to lead and manage the organization's insurance strategy, ensuring comprehensive coverage across all business operations. The role will be responsible for overseeing general insurance programs, risk transfer strategies, policy management, and insurer relationships to protect company assets, projects, and operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in corporate insurance, risk management, and general insurance policies, preferably within large organizations such as real estate, construction, infrastructure, or diversified corporate groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company's insurance strategy and framework to ensure adequate risk coverage.
- Manage all general insurance programs including property, liability, engineering, contractors all risk (CAR), professional indemnity, directors & officers (D&O), and other corporate policies.
- Lead negotiations with insurance brokers, insurers, and reinsurers to secure competitive coverage and terms.
- Evaluate and manage insurance risks associated with projects, assets, and operations.
- Oversee policy placement, renewals, and claims management processes.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership regarding risk exposure and insurance solutions.
- Ensure compliance with UAE insurance regulations and corporate governance standards.
- Develop strong relationships with external insurance providers, consultants, and legal advisors.
- Monitor market trends and recommend improvements to insurance coverage and risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare reports and updates for senior management regarding insurance performance, claims, and risk exposure.
Requirements:
- UAE National (Emirati).
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as ACII, CPCU, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- 1015+ years of experience in corporate insurance, risk management, or insurance brokerage.
- Strong experience handling general insurance programs (not limited to employee medical insurance).
- Experience working with large-scale assets, infrastructure, or real estate portfolios is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and strategic planning abilities.
