Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing and expanding a high‑quality Mid‑Corporate portfolio by sourcing new-to-bank clients, deepening existing relationships, and driving cross‑selling across lending, trade, cash, etc... The role ensures sound credit underwriting, rigorous portfolio monitoring, and full compliance with bank policies and UAE regulatory requirements (including KYC/AML/CFT). In addition to achieving financial and non‑financial objectives, the role leads and develops AVPs, supports strategic planning and execution alongside the SVP, and ensures strong governance, operational discipline, and superior client experience while seamlessly onboarding relationships originated across the bank.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Client Relationship & Portfolio Management.
- Maintain, defend, and grow an assigned Mid Corporate portfolio to set of financial and non-financial targets.
- Acquire NTB relationships within approved risk appetite; build healthy, diversified pipelines.
- Deepen existing relationships through regular senior engagement and a thorough understanding of client business models and cash cycles.
- Maximize wallet share by cross-selling lending, trade finance, cash management, treasury sales, and non-lending solutions.
- Own the end-to-end client journey (onboarding, service delivery, issue resolution) to ensure superior satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct periodic client visits, maintain call reports, and capture actionable market intelligence.
Credit, Risk & Compliance Management
- Oversee preparation and quality of credit proposals, annual reviews, and interim approvals in line with bank credit policy and risk frameworks.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, industry dynamics, and management quality to recommend appropriate structures and covenants.
- Ensure timely renewals, proper documentation, collateral valuation/monitoring, and covenant compliance.
- Monitor early warning indicators and account conduct; proactively remediate emerging risks and recommend upgrades/downgrades as needed.
- Ensure full compliance with KYC/AML/CFT, sanctions, FATCA/CRS, and all applicable UAE regulatory requirements; maintain audit-ready records.
- Coordinate site inspections, formal credit checks, and informal market feedback to preserve portfolio quality.
Operational & Cross-Functional Execution
- Coordinate with Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Finance, and Product to deliver timely, accurate deal execution and service.
- Lead/oversee project financing initiatives and structured transactions ensuring policy and regulatory compliance.
- Drive TAT improvements for onboarding, credit approval, documentation, and disbursement through disciplined follow-up and escalation.
- Maintain robust internal controls across documentation, limits, collateral perfection, and periodic reviews.
- Liaise effectively between clients and internal stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks and enhance client experience.
