Purpose Of The Role:

To provide strategic and operational oversight of finance, accounting, and administrative functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective management of funds and SPVs, and timely settlement of receivables and payables. The role requires strong financial expertise and sound accounting knowledge to support effective decision-making and maintain robust financial controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee finance and accounting activities, including NAV review, financial reporting and reconciliations of funds
  • Provide guidance on funds accounting as per IFRS and GAAP
  • Coordinate with fund administrators for day to day accosting related matters
  • Coordinate fund and SPV audits, working closely with external auditors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage and monitor receivables, payables, cash flows, and settlements, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Oversee administrative and operational activities, ensuring effective processes, controls, documentation, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior management to support business planning, investment activities, and strategic decision-making.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)

(To measure and monitor the performance of the role in the context of the Section/Department's activities)

  • Accuracy and Timeliness of Financial Reporting – timely and accurate NAVs, reports, reconciliations, and financial information.
  • Audit Management – timely completion of fund and SPV audits with minimal audit issues or outstanding matters.
  • Receivables and Payables Management – timely settlement and effective monitoring of outstanding balances.
  • Financial Controls & Compliance – adherence to accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Efficiency – effective delivery and continuous improvement of finance and administrative processes.

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

  • Familiarity with fund structures
  • Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CAIA are highly regarded
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting and finance or a related field
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience with big 4
  • Strong understanding of investment products including equities, fixed income, private equity, and derivatives
