About Zenalyst

Zenalyst is building the Enterprise Agentic AI Platform for the Enterprise  — autonomous AI agents that run real operational workflows end-to-end (treasury, procure-to-pay, collections, reconciliations, close), with enterprise-grade applications built on top of the agentic core.

We don't build copilots. We don't build dashboards. We build agents that take real actions on real systems — moving money, releasing payments, chasing collections, closing books — for some of India's largest enterprises.

Four products, live in production:

•     ZenForce — the agentic orchestration layer

•     ZenBank — treasury and banking automation

•     ZenProcur — end-to-end procure-to-pay

•     ZenCollect — AI-driven collections

Post-seed. Marquee enterprise customers. Moving fast into Series A. We ship weekly, close enterprise deals monthly, and are scaling engineering from a founding team to 50+ over the next 18 months.

The Role

This is the most senior engineering hire we'll make. You will run engineering.

You will own the architecture, the delivery, the hiring, the culture, and the technical narrative — across all four products, the agentic core, and everything built on top of it. Our CTO is deep in product vision, enterprise deals, and Series A. Your job is to make sure the tech organization runs at world-class quality and startup speed without him being in every room.

What You'll Own

Agentic AI — operational workflow automation

Multi-agent orchestration, tool-use frameworks, long-running workflow execution, LLM strategy, guardrails, evaluations, and finance-grade determinism. Agents that don't just answer questions — they take actions and are accountable for outcomes.

Enterprise applications on top of the agentic core

The workflow consoles, operator dashboards, approval surfaces, and control planes that finance teams live in every day. Built as Java + Spring Boot microservices, designed for multi-tenant enterprise scale.

Enterprise integrations

SAP, Oracle, CRM, banking APIs, ERP and CRM stacks. Deep, resilient, audit-grade.

Infrastructure, reliability, and security

AWS/GCP at scale. 99.9%+ uptime on production systems processing live enterprise finance workflows. SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and enterprise buyer diligence.

The engineering organization

Hiring senior ICs at pace. Building product-aligned pods across all four products. Installing rituals that survive fast growth. Owning retention, culture, and the technical bar.

What We're Looking For

Technical Foundation

•     Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with proven experience designing and scaling microservices architecturesin production at enterprise SaaS scale

•     Working depth in Python or Node.js for AI/orchestration services

•     Deep cloud experience (AWS/GCP), distributed systems, event-driven architecture (Kafka or equivalent), and enterprise-grade security fundamentals

•     Genuine excitement about agentic AI and willingness to go deep — this is where our product IP lives. Prior LLM/agent shipping experience is a strong plus, not a hard requirement

Leadership Foundation

•     12+ years in engineering, with 4–5+ years leading orgs of 20+ people as VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, or Senior Director at a fast-growing B2B SaaS company

•     Track record of scaling engineering from 15 to 50+ in a startup — not just managing an established org at a large company

•     Proven ability to hire senior ICs, structure pods, and build engineering rituals that survive growth

•     Comfortable being the technical face in enterprise sales conversations and investor diligence

Temperament

•     High agency. High ownership. Bias for action

•     Comfortable with startup intensity — we ship fast, we don't apologize for the pace

•     Writes things down by default. Disagrees constructively. Doesn't need to be managed

Education

•     Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Engineering from a Tier 1 institution — IIT, BITS, IIIT, NIT, or equivalent.Strong preference — reflects the bar we're building the team around

Strong Bonus For

•     Prior experience in fintech, treasury tech, procure-to-pay, or CFO-office SaaS

•     Hands-on SAP, Oracle, or integration experience at enterprise scale

•     Experience with agentic frameworks — LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom orchestrators

•     SOC 2 / ISO 27001 audit ownership

•     Prior journey through a Series A or Series B fundraise
