A major international drilling contractor is seeking a visionary Vice President of HSE to join its Executive Leadership Team. This strategic role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the Board, shaping the long-term direction of the company's HSE agenda.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the organization's future HSE roadmapdriving transformation, elevating safety culture, and embedding world-class governance across all operations. This role requires a forward-thinking executive with a deep understanding of operational risk, strategic decision-making, and enterprise-level HSE leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and execute a long-term HSE strategy aligned with corporate objectives and industry best practices.
- Serve as the primary HSE advisor to the CEO and Board, providing insight, foresight, and direction on emerging risks and strategic priorities.
- Strengthen corporate governance through robust policies, standards, assurance frameworks, and performance management systems.
- Drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, leveraging technology, digital tools, and predictive analytics to advance HSE maturity.
- Lead a high-performing HSE organization, championing leadership accountability and safety culture development.
- Represent the company at a senior level with partners, regulators, and key industry stakeholders.
Profile Requirements:
- 20+ years of progressive HSE leadership experience within drilling or upstream energy operations.
- Demonstrated success shaping strategic HSE vision and influencing at CEO/Board level.
- Strong expertise in process safety, risk management, and major hazard leadership.
- Proven ability to deliver transformation across large, complex organizations.
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and stakeholder engagement skills.
