Girmairi is looking for a Social Content Creator for primarily: TikTok and Instagram for creating short-form video, host TikTok Live sessions.
We care about results and craft, not credentials.No degree required.We want to see your work: your profile, portfolio, or a set of videos (of yourself explaining or promoting something) that show how you think about attention, pacing, and platform-native content.
Show us that you grew your brand and how you did that - not theory. Ideal candidate would have short form reels (tiktok or youtube shorts) of themselves.
What you will do
- Create short-form video for TikTok and Instagram (Reels, etc.): ideation, filming support, and editing that fits each platform's norms—not generic one size fits all cuts.
- Host TikTok Live (schedule can be split across sessions), on topics we align on together—conversational, confident, and on-brand.
- Study what works: viral hooks, openers, pattern interrupts, retention beats, and why certain formats land on TikTok vs Instagram (and what to avoid on each).
- Edit with purpose: clean cuts, intentional transitions, pacing, captions/text, and simple motion that support the story—not flashy for its own sake.
- Bring a visual eye: composition, lighting awareness, and a coherent aesthetic that matches our direction (we'll define brand guardrails with you).
- Use performance signals and feedback to refine hooks, thumbnails/covers, and series ideas.
What we are looking for
- Proven ability in short-form social video(of yourself); shown through your own social accounts, client work, or a portfolio we can review (links required in your application). This is a must.
- Comfort and polish on live video: you can host Live without freezing up; you're engaging and can hold a thread on planned topics.
- Platform literacy: you understand and constantly learn new hooks, length, tone, and trends native to each social media platform.
- Editing skills: proficient in mobile or desktop editors (e.g. CapCut, Premiere, Da Vinci, etc.—tooling is less important than judgment). Strong sense of pacing, transitions, and viral moments as appropriate to our niche—not cinema-grade VFX.
- Design sense: typography, framing, and overall visual consistency; willingness to follow a simple brand kit.
- Reliability and communication: you can stick to a content rhythm, take briefs, and collaborate async (chat/docs) when needed.
- Ownership: this position is ideal for your if you can take ownership of your work and be solo contributor.
Nice to have
- Experience growing an account or series from early stage through experimentation.
- Basic understanding of analytics (views, retention proxies, Live replay behavior) and how to turn numbers into the next experiment.
- Experience in other social media platforms as well.
What we'll consider your success
- Consistent on-brand short-form output plus scheduled Live that feels intentional, not filler.
- Clear improvement over time in hooks, watch-through, and audience resonance, informed by what we learn together.
Location and work management
- Timezone: must overlap EST & PST evening hours (starting around 6-7PM EST) as our target market is there to start with
- Work location: Remote (must have ideal working location)
- Work type: Part-time to start with (around 20 hrs/week); for ideal candidates we are open to full-time (40 hrs/week) in the future
Salary and compensation
- Compensation range: flexible depending on your qualifications (estimated fulltime: $300 USD- $600 USD per month)
- Work hours and days: flexible, but we do have team meetings in evening EST time. We mostly work asynchronously. We put more emphasis on quality of your work
